Accommodation

Cape Town and the surrounding winelands amounts to quite a large area, from one side to the other over a hundred kilometres. Cape Town itself is a vast city with hundreds of hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, etc. Because it is so big, when deciding on a hotel, make sure that it is within walking distance from the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC)

CTICC Address: Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town, 8001

CTICC GPS co-ordinates: 33° 54’ 56” S by 18° 25’ 36” E).

Most hotels in the vicinity do offer a shuttle service to CTICC and/or the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, but best to check first. If you book a hotel a bit further afield, you should consider renting a car (there is parking available at CTICC).

For a list of list of hotels (and a map) compiled by CTICC, please download the CTICC Hotel file

Hint:

The international hotel booking sites Booking.com and Hotels.com have very good coverage of Cape Town and are used by the ‘locals’ to make their hotel reservations. Look for accommodation in the ‘City Bowl’,  ‘Waterfront’ and ‘De Waterkant’ if you want to be close to CTICC. And check the reviews!
